Walking into a painting workshop can feel intimidating, especially if you haven’t picked up a brush in years, or ever.
At Kaldahl Studios, the goal isn’t perfection.
It’s presence.
Each workshop is designed as a shared creative experience rather than a traditional “class.” You’ll be guided, supported, and encouraged, but never rushed or corrected into someone else’s vision.
Here’s what you can expect:
A welcoming studio atmosphere
Workshops are intentionally small, allowing space to settle in, ask questions, and connect with the process. Whether you arrive confident or curious, you’ll be met exactly where you are.
Thoughtful guidance, not rigid instruction
I demonstrate techniques and offer structure, but your painting is always your own. There is no “right” outcome, only exploration.
High-quality materials, fully provided
Canvas, paints, tools, and setup are ready for you. You can focus entirely on the experience rather than the logistics.
Room to breathe and experiment
You’ll be encouraged to follow color, gesture, and instinct. Some participants arrive with a plan. Others let the painting reveal itself. Both approaches are welcome.
A finished piece, and something more
You’ll leave with artwork you created, yes….but also with a renewed sense of confidence and creative ease that often surprises people.
These workshops are designed to fit real lives: meaningful, immersive, and accessible without requiring long-term commitment.
If you’ve been waiting for the “right moment” to paint, this might be it.
